IRGA Digital began with one goal in mind: To resolve agricultural industry challenges using cutting edge digital solutions. As an agritech solutions provider specialising in integrated software solutions for the plantations sector, we had a vision to deliver key services which would enhance plantation operations using the most effective digital technologies available.
Having understood that the agricultural sector, which contributes nearly 9% towards national GDP, still largely utilises dated operational methods with regards to reporting and oversight, we set out to source solutions which combined data analytics, cloud computing and business intelligence, to provide clients with a fully integrated system to support management level decision making.
We acquired technology from the team behind the iPlantations software, who had over 25 years of experience providing agritech solutions to the industry. Using the system as the foundation for our development process, we then proceeded to enhance the solution to create a comprehensive operations and management platform for plantation and farms. With the newly integrated solutions in place, we rebranded it as iPLANT.
The iPLANT System currently provides a complete overview of all key activities involved in managing plantation operations. The system consolidates information from field level activities such as worker attendance and harvesting, intermediary activities such as goods transportation and weighbridge operations, as well mill operations and processing. It effectively allows managers complete end-to-end control and oversight over the full spectrum of plantation activities, including financial accounting, integrated into a single accessible system.
We’ve also designed iPLANT as a hybrid cloud solution. It features a mobile application and a Business Intelligence (BI) extension which operates on the cloud. The mobile application allows users to capture field data directly using any connected handheld device, while also allowing managers to access their reports on-the-go. The Business Intelligence extension utilises the gathered data to generate key insights which can be leveraged to make effective and targeted executive decisions.
The iPLANT system has thus far been implemented for customers covering over 1 million hectares across Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and Nigeria.
